Pricing
Reading H-Cert is free. Creating a record costs a one-time $0.10, the same write-once model as registering in H-Index or creating a ring in H-Pact.
Charged once when you onboard a principal or link an account. Onboarding from the showroom is free.
- · Directory and behavior-backed standing reads, no account required
- · Resolve a named principal against a requirement
- · Revoke or unlink a record
- · Every other consumer (a grant, a ring, any service) reading the signal
No subscriptions, no per-read fees, no tiers. Only the one-time write is metered; the standing signal the rest of the H-Series reads stays free.
Why reads are free
H-Cert's value is in being consumed everywhere: a grant, a ring, or any service can resolve a named principal and gate on its standing at its own trust boundary. Putting a toll on that read would tax the exact signal the rest of the H-Series is meant to read freely, so the directory, standing, resolve, revoke, and unlink all stay free. The one-time $0.10 falls only on creating a record (onboarding a principal or linking an account), which anchors a commitment on chain; it covers that write and keeps the directory from being spammed.
What the free tier is not
Free does not mean unverified. Every delegation is signed by the owner and its signature checked before anything is stored, and every vouch and revocation is anchored on chain as a salted commitment. The standing is advisory, never enforcing: it informs a consumer's decision but does not block a call. H-Cert is an attestation layer, not KYC; bring an external badge where real-world identity is required.
